He be from Washingteeon.

Long ago, there was a tribe of warriors who were traveling to the field of battle to join their allies, when they were ambushed and slaughtered, by a traitor of their own blood. Thier spirits wandered into the caverns underneath the mountains, where they built a vast underground city, so they could brood there for all eternity.

But soon after, they decided that was a total waste of time. Now they spend their days rockin' like it's 1999.

This is the King of the Skeleteeons; the lord of the undead dance. He only carries that sword around so that he can fight, for his right, to party.

I started this painting after going to a Don Seegmiller workshop at GDC in 2005. I've put it away and pulled it back out again a few times since then, whenever I learned something new. I had so much fun working on this picture, this character has been a favorite of mine for years. Many an hour was spent laughing to myself while I worked on it.
